Bay-Bloor Vault Rebuild
- Ward: Toronto Centre-Rosedale (Ward 27)
- Activity: Overhead/Underground Rebuild
- Timeline: November 2012 - May 2013
- Status: Current
Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited is planning to upgrade the aging overhead and underground electrical system in the community. The project includes rebuilding an underground transformer vault and replacing hydro poles within the City of Toronto’s public property allowance.
Throughout this project, power interruptions may be necessary to switch from the old to the new electrical system. Toronto Hydro will provide with advance notice prior to any planned outages.
Once construction begins, Toronto Hydro crews and contractors will take extra care and precautions to help minimize any inconveniences. The portion of the driveway and other areas affected by our work will be replaced to pre-construction conditions. Upon project completion, repair work will be completed as season, weather and schedule permits.
